Alpha Caretaking Pty Ltd, ABN 82 599 749 412, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this website, alphacaretaking.com.au. It covers the website only. If you become a participant, we will give you separate information about how we handle your records.
What we collect
The only place this website collects personal information is the contact form. It asks for your name and email address, and gives you a box to write a message.
Whatever you put in that message box is collected too. Please keep it brief. Email is not a secure channel, so do not send health information, diagnoses, NDIS numbers, identity documents or financial details through the form. If we need any of that, we will arrange a safer way.
We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or visitor profiling on this site. We do not ask you to create an account.
Why we collect it
So we can answer your enquiry. That is the only reason. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Where it goes and how long we keep it
Enquiries are delivered to our own email account and stay there. We keep them for up to 12 months and then delete them, unless you become a participant, in which case your information moves into our participant records and is kept under the rules that apply to those.
Who can see it
Only Alpha Caretaking. We do not pass website enquiries to other organisations.
Information sent overseas
Our contact page includes an embedded Google map. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and basic device information, and Google is based overseas. This happens whether or not you interact with the map. If you would rather that did not happen, you can reach us by phone instead on 0424 401 349.
Some pages also carry a link to a video published by the NDIS on YouTube. Nothing is sent to YouTube unless you click play. If you do, YouTube receives your IP address and basic device information, and YouTube is owned by Google and based overseas. Other than the map and that video, we do not send your information overseas.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work and to load quickly. You will see a consent banner the first time you visit. The embedded Google map sets its own cookies, and so does the NDIS video if you play it. Those cookies are controlled by Google rather than by us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave oddly.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and the site runs over a secure connection. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Getting a copy, correcting it, or having it deleted
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@alphacaretaking.com.au or use the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first. Email info@alphacaretaking.com.au or use the contact form, and someone from Alpha Caretaking will reply.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Complaints about our supports, rather than your privacy, can go to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time, without telling us first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the version on this page is always the current one.
